Wow, what a day of lifting up JESUS in Long Meadow Park today!!! Many thanks go out to so many....Thank you so much to Pastor Dub & Pam Karriker and all their people from Christian Assembly Church in North Durham (AWESOME CHOIR!!!), thank you to Elder Wade Bowick of United For Christ Church in North Durham and his guys who are always a huge blessing at the outreaches, thank you to Pastor Jonathan & Vickie Leake and their son David, Pat O' Connell, and Don Germann who all drove over from New Bern, NC. Thank you to Pastor Jr Isham of Bethesda Baptist (I think we are going to be having some big team ups in the future), thank you to youth Pastor Jr Cook of Mooresville, NC. for coming in early and helping me, thank you to Keith Moore of the Fayettville Food Lion who always keeps us in mind for donations, thank you to Gail from the Joyland Food Lion, Krista and Renee of the TW Alexander Food Lion, thank you to the Durham Police Department for donating bicycles for the outreach, thank you to Chris Hull, manager of The Bicycle Chain for taking time to come over and go through the bikes prior to the outreach, thank you Angie Ashby for helping me with so many things,
Vickie Leake (Bull City shirt - one of Eileen's) with Heather (Jill) and her mom Susan along with Don Germann and David Leake. Heather and Susan were the last one's to leave. We were able to form a circle (a tight one at that so we could stay warm) and pray for these two. They are excited about changing their lives and that is so exciting for us!!!
I am sure that there was nobody out there yesterday that does not know who Ricky is??? Ricky is a trip! Yesterday was his birthday and hard telling whether he has ever had a cake with his name on it. Ricky started this "muscle thing" last week when we were hanging out at a bus stop. I told him that day that I had larger arms than that when I was in the 3rd grade. The other guys that were with us starting cracking up and so did Ricky. Ricky has came a long way but he still has a ways to go. He thinks that he is saved but the only time I can get anything into his head is when he does not have a crowd that he can work. Pray for Ricky to come to the true knowledge of what it takes to be a Christian.
$25 Gift Card winners - thank you to Joe & Christy Matthews for donating part of the gift cards. We gave away at least 6 during the outreach.
Had to get this one in of my precious youngest granddaughter, Jaydn!! It is always so awesome to have family out there. My daughter, son in law and the three girls!
Heather while Pastor Dub was praying for those that wanted to accept Christ.
Bicycles for many!!! Donated by the Durham Police Department. We thank them for including us in this program!
THE GOSPEL CHOIR - Now I know that there was a hint of brothers and sisters in here but folks this was not "the average white choir". These folks can "sang"!!! Great job, got the people dancing and praising our King of Kings!!!
We had a crowd! Pastor Dub and I estimated somewhere around 150-200 people attended the outreach. It was a great turnout for a December outreach. Praise the Lord for temps in the low 50's at least for the start. The last prayer huddle got a little tight for warmth purposes.
We had many little ones running around throughout the day having a great time!
This was actually Pastor Dub directing the choir....I know they wouldn't have sounded that good without his direction!
We had a ton of clothes. The toughest thing is preventing fights from starting.
Georgia (right) from the McDougald Projects came out. She was close to Eileen and she had a real tough time at the viewing.
More of the New Bern crew....Vickie, Pat O'Connell and David Leake to the right.
This is just Part 1 of this outreach. There are many more great pics that I want to show. Just a fantastic outreach with a great team that came together to show Jesus in so many ways to the people.
